“Love Is Not On Lockdown”
Late night.
The cranberry glass,
is red and full.
Singing, Marley,
in an empty room,
satisfies my Soul
and guides me,
away from gloom,
into, wholehearted, recognition.
I take nothing for granted.
The World,
it may be screaming,
writhing,
in silent agony,
expressed,
though twisted tree-trunks,
and honey bees,
that can, barely, hover
over flowers,
on the verge of defeat…
… manifested, through
a kingdom of animals,
skipping
generations of growth..
But,
I, still, endeavour,
to sip,
slowly,
from the goblet of reality.
Once, is enough,
for clarity.
Moderation,
seals the edges.
I return, to stolen moments.
To the town,
which holds me dearly.
I take nought, for granted.
I like it, like that…
…And,
I know,
I’m falling,
falling,
into the arms of
a mandate of Love,
that yearns,
to reach the root
of every frown..
…that teaches, new speech,
to recompense, at length,
the sorrow,
placed, on lay-away…
For,
today,
has caused a reaction,
a determination,
to turn life around,
for others…
Be the reassurance,
that,
Everlasting Love,
is not
on lockdown.
